Understand the public choices that shape a shared future.

Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers understand a distinct part of public policy: a useful concept, a decision path, a policy tool or the often overlooked work of putting a choice into practice. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting an unsolicited full article.

What makes a strong pitch

A good proposal names its central question, explains why a general reader might care and shows what the piece will clarify. It should have a defined scope, a sound route to checking its factual claims and a clear distinction between explanation and advocacy. Evergreen subjects are especially useful when they remain informative without current statistics or a specific jurisdiction's rules.

A distinct angle

We look for pieces that bring a fresh, well-bounded perspective to problem framing, policy tools, institutions, implementation or evaluation. Tell us the main idea, the proposed structure and what the reader should understand by the end. Avoid pitches that depend on confidential information, unsupported claims or professional advice.

Sending a proposal

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option to send a pitch. Include your proposed title, a short summary, the intended reader and any relevant sources or expertise you would draw on. Please do not send sensitive personal information. We consider proposals for fit and clarity; a pitch is not a promise of publication.
